The first few days we met our team and got an assignment to be completed. We met all our professors and got to see the campus. As the semestermoved on we got a lot of assignments that needed to be given in. We played a business game. We had a few guest lectures that also came to talk to us. I metall my fellow students and I got to see the campus as well as all my professors. I had to complete all the assignments and work in a team to do so.I had to go to all the classes and prepare for the exam. I talked to my fellow students and tried to make some bonds. For our first assignment, we were split into teams and we had to make a video. I made summaries for my subjects. I wrote two ICS exams and also met up with my mentor. This was really fun and a nice way to get to know yourteam when we had to make our first video. Being prepared by joining all the classes has led me to be ahead of my summaries and I have completed all my assignments. I have made some great friends.

We had to play a business game where we had to see who can get the mostprofit. We worked with different members from different teams. I saw that most people were struggling with the game in the beginning since we all didn’t know how it work. I analyzed all the clues that were given to us and I tried to make changes in the game that would result in me making a profit. This was a challenging game that was very fun. I enjoyed learning about the course in this way and it also helps us with experience. At the beginning of the semester, Iwas anxious and very stressed about what to expect and how everything is going to work since I am not from Belgium. But it went smoothly and I was able to make it through the first few days without any problems. The game day was exciting and it made me feel accomplished since we did well in the last round we were playing.

This first semester has taught me a lot about myself and about other people. I have learned how to communicate and how to work in a team effectively. The business game day helped me to experience a real workplace environment and what to expect. I have learned to work with people and I have gained confidence in my work.  The new environment and people I have met as well as the new country that I am living in.

Studying more and making good summaries to perform better in the exams

Advantages: Better grades

Disadvantages: Less time to do my own hobbies

Next time I will use my time more efficiently to make sure I get to doall my summaries intime

Having experience for when I am applying for a job

Advantages: Better CV

Disadvantage: Forgetting everything I have learned

Next time I would read more about the game before I start to make sure Iknow what to do.

Submit assignment a few days beforehand

Advantages: you know it would be done

Disadvantages: It puts stress on you to complete the assignment

Next time I would plan when I will do my assignments and also break themup into smaller sections

I Can apply this by making a time schedule at the beginning of each week to work out what I need to do and make sure I have enough time to do everything. I should watch out for being too lazy or taking too much time off my studies. I need to get a study place whereI won’t get distracted. I want to start studying with different people and to start a new active hobby to do when I am not studying
